Jerry Johnson may not be much of a golfer, but when it comes to comedy, he’s a pro in every sense of the word.  For the third consecutive year, the Desert Mashies made him their comedian of choice for the Mardi Gras Ball at their Western States Golf Association Tournament.  And for the third year in a row, Jerry had the gathering of over 300 prominent duffers and their guests rolling in the aisles.

This year’s event was held at the luxurious Arizona Golf Resort and the talented Mr. Johnson was in good company.  Sharing the bill with Jerry were Tina Turner impersonator Rikki Benson (pictured left) and her music director Les Paul, renowned vocalist Stan Devereaux, instrumentalist/vocalist Jimmy McElroy, and ventriloquist Aaron Williams accompanied by his pal “Freddie” (also pictured left).

With his quick wit, amazing impressions and hilarious commentary, Jerry was more than par for the course.  His performance not only got him a rousing ovation from the crowd, but also an open invitation from the Desert Mashies to join them in Palm Springs for their next upcoming event.
